How to Take your Prints
A unique keepsake, every fingerprint is different with varied amounts of definition. From our experience fingerprint jewellery is best suited for children from 12 months and older as their fingerprints are more defined. What you see in the fingerprint print impression you take is what comes out in the jewellery, so if you are in any doubt please contact us or put a query on the order form.
After receiving your order a fingerprint impressions kit will be posted and enables you to take up to two fingerprints. The kit comes with step-by-step instructions.
Once you are happy with the print, please return the impression in the pre-paid envelope along with the order form.
After we have received your order a kit containing a harmless inkless wipe and sensitized paper will be posted out. These wipes are non-toxic and you simply rub the wipe over your loved one’s foot or hand and place it on the paper to produce a print.
You can then send the print back via mail (a pre-paid envelope is included in the kit) or scan the print and e-mail to email@example.com
The work then begins and the print goes through various stages. First the image is scanned and reduced to fit the piece you have requested, a negative is created to make a stamp to imprint into the silver. After firing, the charm is oxidised to highlight the print before going though several polishing stages. As there are a number of processes, we aim to have completion of your personalised jewellery between 15 working day from receipt of the prints.
Animal Print Jewellery
Not forgetting all those animal lovers out there – animal prints also make gorgeous unique individual gifts. The process is the same as the handprint jewellery and the prints can be posted using the pre-paid envelope or scanned back to firstname.lastname@example.org
We aim to have all orders dispatched 15 working days from receiving your prints.
The finished piece will be presented in a Joy Impressions jewellery box wrapped in ribbon ready to give to your loved one.
